Maybe I’m a sucker for spending extra money on a box with wheels, but almost every moment when traveling with my Rimowa suitcase gives me a little bit of joy. Their different shapes are convenient for packing (the current MVP of my life is the top loading pilot carry-on). It rolls ultra smoothly down endless airport isles. It is sturdy enough to let my kids sit on it. It looks decent while parked in my hotel room corner.
I used my first Rimowa for twenty years before giving it away in perfectly fine condition, and the ones I own now will probably last for the rest of my life. That’s not something I can easily say about many other products.
